Role Overview

You will serve as a senior engineer in a fully distributed team, owning significant platform features and contributing to architectural decisions. The position emphasizes deep, uninterrupted work and high autonomy in a culture that prioritises craftsmanship and focused development over meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new product features and enhance the customer experience across the platform
• Build and maintain the core Ruby on Rails application as the business scales internationally
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering team across multiple time zones
• Contribute meaningfully to platform architecture and design decisions
• Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability throughout the codebase

Required Qualifications

• Extensive production experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively in a remote environment
• Genuine commitment to writing efficient, scalable, and maintainable code

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Clojure (used for select services)
• Experience with the Turbo framework
