
Ummah Welfare Trust is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the development and implementation of a Salesforce-based Programme and Aid Management platform. This role will act as the key link between programme teams, operational stakeholders, and technical delivery partners to ensure the system effectively supports humanitarian programmes and organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will drive product ownership, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and system adoption while helping improve operational efficiency and programme delivery across multiple countries.
Lead ownership of the Salesforce Programme and Aid Management application.
Define, prioritise, and manage the product backlog.
Gather and document business requirements from programme, grants, finance, operations, and MEAL teams.
Translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications.
Ensure the platform aligns with organisational goals and operational processes.
Work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, consultants, and implementation partners.
Support the design and rollout of workflows related to:
Programme Management
Beneficiary Tracking
Grant & Donor Reporting
Case & Activity Management
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL)
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder sign-off.
Monitor implementation progress, risks, and dependencies.
Facilitate workshops, sprint planning sessions, testing activities, and stakeholder reviews.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
Support change management and user adoption initiatives.
Contribute to training materials, operational documentation, and user guidance.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, governance, and data protection requirements.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, International Development, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Functional Lead on Salesforce implementations.
Experience working with Salesforce custom applications and platform capabilities.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
Experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Experience coordinating UAT and implementation activities.
Experience documenting business requirements and user stories.
Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Business Analyst, Product Owner, etc.).
Agile Product Ownership, Scrum, Business Analysis, or Project Management certifications.
Experience within NGOs, humanitarian organisations, or the public sector.
Experience with integrations, reporting, dashboards, and data migration.
Knowledge of Programme Management, Aid Management, Grants Management, or MEAL processes.
Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and donor compliance requirements.
