Kindergarten (KG) Teacher

Austin Peace Academy, an Islamic school in Austin, Texas, is hiring two full-time Kindergarten Teachers for an early childhood program. The position opens in August 2026 with an application deadline of January 31, 2027.

**Role Overview:**

Teachers play a vital role in the holistic development of kindergarten-age students — nurturing academic growth, social skills, emotional intelligence, and Islamic character values. The position requires strong classroom management, age-appropriate instruction delivery, a nurturing demeanor, and collaborative engagement with the school community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Create a supportive, faith-centered learning environment aligned with Islamic values
• Deliver age-appropriate classroom instruction and activities
• Manage classroom behavior and student engagement effectively
• Foster social, emotional, and character development alongside academics
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and the broader school community
• Contribute to the overall growth and daily learning experience of young students

**Required Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Prior classroom-based work experience
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Strong understanding of child development principles
• Strong organizational abilities
• Nurturing and consistently positive attitude
• Full English language fluency
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
