Job Description
LaunchGood, the world's leading Muslim crowdfunding platform, is seeking a Head of Finance to lead financial strategy and operations across our global organization. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will serve as a strategic financial leader aligning the company's financial strategies with its mission of supporting Islamic giving, charity, and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies; provide strategic guidance to the executive team on growth, investment decisions, and cash management
- Lead all budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and quarter-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable tax regulations, including foreign currency exchange accounting for international operations
- Manage consolidated accounting across LaunchGood's global structure, including our UK entity
- Implement SOX-framework internal controls to identify and mitigate financial risks
- Coordinate with the Payments team on campaign payout reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, operations, and People Operations on financial planning initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience managing consolidated accounting for organizations with global or multi-entity operations
- Deep proficiency in US GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Hands-on experience with financial software tools including QuickBooks, ERP systems, Divvy, and Bill.com
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and attention to detail
