The Tajan Foundation is seeking a Director of Education / Principal to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of its educational programs based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This full-time, on-site position combines dual-scope academic and administrative leadership responsibilities.

Tajan Foundation operates Ayah Academy, a K-12 Islamic school, and a Full-Time Hifdh (Quran memorization) Program. The organization is committed to delivering comprehensive Islamic education grounded in faith and academic excellence.
Role Overview
As Director of Education / Principal, you will maintain overall accountability for Ayah Academy's academics, daily operations, school culture, and student outcomes. You will provide strategic direction across all educational programs, including leadership oversight of the Hifdh program, and supervise the Associate Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive curriculum development and instructional program quality across all grade levels
- Recruit, evaluate, mentor, and manage faculty and staff
- Build and maintain external community partnerships strengthening the school's mission
- Oversee departmental budgets and financial planning
- Serve as the primary educational liaison to the Foundation's Board of Directors
- Foster a positive school culture aligned with Islamic values
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership or closely related field
- Principal certification or recognized educational leadership credential
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible educational leadership experience
- Demonstrated track record in instructional improvement and school-wide operations management
- Strong organizational and financial management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Genuine and active commitment to Islamic education and the Foundation's mission
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in Islamic schools
- Experience supervising multiple simultaneous educational programs
- Knowledge of Quran and Hifdh methodology
- Proficiency in Arabic language and Islamic Studies curricula
