Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Islamic Relief USA, a humanitarian nonprofit with over 40 years of global emergency relief and development experience, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead the organization's complete finance function. Reporting to the CEO, this executive role drives financial strategy, compliance excellence, and effective grant management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Ensure financial health, integrity, and strategic stewardship of organizational resources
• Lead treasury management, financial planning, risk management, and investment strategy
• Drive technology transformation and modernization within the finance department
• Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to the CEO and board of directors
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
• Enhance financial systems, accounting controls, and operational processes
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
• Manage grant accounting, donor compliance, and financial audits
• Represent the organization to external financial partners and institutions

**Required Qualifications:**

• Advanced degree (Master's preferred) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred
• Minimum 7 years of senior financial leadership experience in nonprofits, emergency relief, or international development
• Demonstrated executive presence and leadership ability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and grant compliance
• Proficiency with financial reporting systems and data analysis tools

• U.S. work authorization required

**Position Details:**

Full-time role based in Alexandria, Virginia (on-site). Salary: $185,000 annually.
