Account Manager

Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for identifying and securing new customer opportunities and developing existing accounts for the Records Management segment of our Manatron solution set.
Major Responsibilities and Percent of Work Time:
Generate and develop new and existing accounts in established territories by customer visits or telephone appointments - 55%
Participate in the development of bids, quotations and proposals - 15%
Cross sell other Manatron software and services into existing accounts - 15%
Participate in pertinent conferences, conventions and seminars - 10%
Perform other duties as assigned-5%

Bachelor degree in related field with minimum of three years' experience in sales environment
Experience working with County Government preferred; familiarity with document scanning, indexing, redaction, back-file conversions, etc.
Successful history in other Technical Account Manager roles
Software Solution sales experience preferred
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills required
Technically minded with ability to pick up new applications quickly
Strong sales aptitude, writing skills, and attention to detail
Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Extensive business travel is required
May require extended work schedules, tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
Must be able to work in a variety of social, cultural, legal, and political environments
Sitting, eye sight, using hands/fingers, talking, hearing, occasionally lifting up to 25#
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the supervisors discretion
