Account Manager

Major Responsibilities:
 
 
Deliver volume and profit plan at assigned customer
On-going analysis and review to identify gaps to plan and execution
Make regular buyer calls, identify customer needs and priorities, create fact-based selling presentations
Manage strategic selling opportunities at assigned accounts including non-price related sales and business unit initiatives, special packs, and the recommendation / evaluation of incremental sales growth drivers
Communicate and ensure adherence to company policies including "unsaleables," diverting, etc.
Ensure promotions and trade agreements are within SROT specifications
Create merchandising plans and communicate event details to retail and finance support teams
Track results and complete post-event analysis
Manage innovation summits at customer to better understand customer initiatives, program changes, and goals
Tailor selling presentations for specific accounts to ensure efficient and effective communication of products
Actively participate in customer payment processing including compass management, as well as provide attentive assistance to finance team regarding financial contracts, performance, and collection
 
 
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
5+ years sales experience with consumer packaged goods organization
Bachelors degree
Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and follow up skills
Retail and category management experience a plus
Strong PC skills including Microsoft office,
Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions
Must be willing and able to travel 10-15% of the time
