Business Analyst/Project Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst – Project Coordinator to join our corporate headquarters in Southwest Houston, Texas.
The Business Analyst – Project Coordinator is expected to serve as the voice of the customer in planning and implementing new customer and current customer initiatives. This energetic individual will foster and maintain strategic technical partnerships to optimize client satisfaction.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Writes and distributes a clearly defined Project Scope documenting business requirements
Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframes
Conducts effective meetings, including project kick-off and status meetings
May act as a project manager or act as a team member on various projects
Coordinating and leading the IT team in the delivery of IS services to customers
Providing direction to resolve technical issues in a timely manner
Leading IT communications with our clients and operations team
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field is preferred
2+ years experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, System Leader, and/or Sr. Programmer/Analyst
Strong knowledge of financial or collections systems is required
Experience with UNIX, uniVerse (PICK), MVS (COBOL), Visual Basic/SQL, .Net a plus
Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office preferred
Small to medium-scale implementation experience required
Proven leadership experience with the ability to work with all levels in a team environment
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, development life cycles and project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent listening, verbal/written communication and negotiation skills are essential
Solid understanding of business practices and customer management
Experience managing and building client relationships
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and commit to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
Ample experience with high volume client interaction
