Desktop Support 1 - Please note this is a Part time position for about 25 hours a week. Pay : 20 / hr Max. - Diagnosing hardware and software problems - On-call when needed - Training faculty and staff - Installing/configuring new computers/telephones - Repairing/upgrading PC and Mac hardware and software - Troubleshooting printers/scanners/copiers - Maintaining Software Licenses - Maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies cables, adapters, etc. - Anti-virus Management: - Ensuring that Corporate Anti-virus software is installed and being used on all the PC s - .Checking the Anti-virus logs against virus intrusions and virus attack reporting any virus alert - Maintaining the Antivirus software update logs. - Back-up Management: - Ensuring daily, weekly, monthly and special non-routine back-ups are carried out - Ensuring that weekly, monthly and special non-routine backups are stored off site - Maintaining backup tapes rotation scheme, record backup, restore procedures and user requests. - Checking the backup log, ensuring that backups are successful and troubleshoot/report to the GSC any failures. - Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Communication skills using speech and writing - Ability to systematically troubleshoot complex problems -
Bachelor s Degree in a related field helpful
Experience in the field or in a related area helpful
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
