Business Development Consultant

Foothill Federal Credit Union is currently searching for a part-time Business Development Consultant to add to our dynamic Marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the primary focus of this position will be to develop new business contacts and strengthen and maintain existing relationships with our core employee groups. This individual is responsible for meeting department monthly goals, providing excellent member service and supporting organizational goals and promotions. The Business Development Consultant is required to actively participate in business associations, local networking groups and community events/activities, which may take place before and after regular business hours and on weekends.
Key Responsibilities Include
Regularly generates leads for possible sales
Follow-up sales calls with strong product and service recommendations
Conduct formal presentations
Coordinates and maintains regular contact with core membership to solicit and develop new business, and to maintain and strengthen existing relationships primarily by phone, onsite meetings, employee orientation and through written correspondence
Prepares and coordinates materials for on-site visits, including new member information and promotional items
Responds to questions and/or provides information to our membership
Maintains all credit union’s printed materials, supplies and information at all branches, and membership locations
Responsible for ensuring promotional and information materials are updated on bulletin boards and display racks at all membership locations
Actively participate in business community activities for referral networking
Analyze member needs and develop/coordinate appropriate financial solutions
Execute programs for new business development and track results
Identify and suggest changes to Business Development practices and procedures in an effort to provide a professional image to all credit union membership
Act as a liaison between the credit union and membership contacts, in order to build visibility, serve membership and reach our strategic goals
Analyze demographic information for select groups and identify appropriate business opportunities
Effectively support a consistent and positive “brand image” within the community
Education/Experience:
Minimum two years of credit union/financial services business development experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Excellent public relation skills and ability to understand the perspective and priorities of others
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work with minimal supervision
Must possess effective presentation skills
Flexible working schedule required
Proven track record of working with all levels of management
Bi-lingual Spanish helpful
